About the Author

Just in case any of you were wondering about who I am and what I'm all about, I figured  I'd tell you a little about myself. My name is Patricia McNemar, I'm married to a wonderful man, Brian. We don't have any children right now, but would like them in the future. We do have three dogs; Mason, Missy, and Dexter. We live tucked away in the suburbs on a half an acre. Yes, I'm planning on writing a blog about homesteading and we live in the suburbs on half an acre. Just under half an acre, plus taking off the space the house takes up, we've got about 2/5 of an actual acre to work with.

I'm an ex-World of Warcraft addict. That game sucked up almost an entire year of my life that I will never get back, not to mention over three hundred dollars I've sunk into it over my time playing it. I really wouldn't recommend it. Sure, the game is fun for a while, but trust me, it gets old, and it doesn't take that long either. Other than that, I do still enjoy playing video games from time to time, but not all day every day, as is the case with World of Warcraft. Don't think you would sit there all day? You would. They hired psychologists to help them design the game to ensure that you would. Enough about that, let's move on.

Other than video games, I've got plenty of other hobbies and interests. I absolutely love reading and writing. I enjoyed the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling a lot. Yes, I'm an adult and I loved Harry Potter, so what? Anything by Anne Rice is fabulous as far as I'm concerned. I love her work. I'm wanting to write my own novels some day. My books would be about werewolves. I love werewolves, and vampires, and dragons, and ghosts. Pretty much any books about the supernatural and fantastical are right up my alley.

Needless to say, I love nature and animals. That's why I want to be a homesteader, and why I WILL be a homesteader, no matter that my goofy husband doesn't think it will ever happen. He'll see. Nothing stops me when I set my mind to something and he'll get dragged along kicking and screaming the entire way, no doubt. Silly city boy. I'm a country girl at heart, but just because we're very different doesn't mean we don't love each other very much.

All-in-all I'm just a fun-loving, good ol' country girl and while a bit zany, I'm totally eccentric and that's what makes life interesting!
